Egyptian Revival Designs Reign Over Spring Jewelry Lines
Egyptian Revival Designs Reign Over Spring Jewelry Lines

Although weve barely made it through fall, major jewelry designers have already put the finishing touches on their spring 2011 lines. This spring, styles from the sixties still reign; however, were trading in the bohemian styles of the past few years for bold Egyptian Revival designs. Egyptian Revival jewelry first became popular in the Victorian era and was resurrected in the 1920s, 1960s, and again in the 1970s when revival jewelry was offered by the best jewelry houses to commemorate King Tutankahmens world tour. Some of my favorite modern Egyptian Revival pieces come from French jewelry designer Aurelie Bidermanns spring 2011 collection. Her collection includes gold snake rings and armbands as well as structural necklaces fit for a queen. fashion show. My favorites from her line include the Pave Tip Pyramid bracelets $125 and this gorgeous black and gold nOir artisan necklace shown.

Published by Lisa Marie Chatroop

Chicago native, jewelry designer, former event planner, experiential marketing lover, former Heineken Girl, lover of sarcasm, fan of travel.
